Gil joined the team in 2013. He is mainly responsible for early-stage investments in AdTech, marketing, digital services and mobile consumer, with a strong expertise in programmatic advertising and mobile apps.
He’s currently supporting companies in France and Germany while he previously backed AdotMob (acq. by vente-privée.com) and The Adex (acq. by ProSiebenSat.1).
Prior to joining Iris Capital, Gil was account director at Marcel - Publicis Groupe where he was in charge of the digital communication strategy of international accounts in banking, mass-market retail, FMCG, car manufacturing and luxury.
He and his team have won a number of local and global awards among which Cannes Lions, FWA Awards and Stratégies Grand Prix.
He also created two start-ups in e-commerce and content marketing, giving him a key insider's view on what is an entrepreneur's path to creating and making a company grow.
Gil is an American and French citizen. He is a coach in entrepreneurship courses at ESCP-Europe and a lecturer at HEC and Sciences Po Paris in startup spirit and growth notably.
He graduated from ESCP-Europe (Paris, France) and holds a master’s degree in project management from the Institute of Internet and Multimedia (Paris, France).
